The Rubinato is designed for tiny lettering and is extremely flexible, requiring a gentle hand for optimal control. Textured ridges allow this beautifully designed nib to hold more ink than typical extra-fine pens.  Recommend to use the Speedball Straight Holder or one of our adjustable oblique holders.
